No. Lebensstimmen is a complementary service. Funeral directors, clergy and celebrants keep their important role. Our messages and speeches can be included in existing funeral services.

Yes, in principle a personal message or speech can also complement a church funeral. Whether and at what point it is included is best agreed with the responsible priest or the person in charge.

You decide. Your speech can contain religious, spiritual or secular thoughts. Your personal values, beliefs and wishes are at the centre.

Yes. Lebensstimmen is an independent platform and not tied to any particular funeral home. You are free to choose your funeral director and include the finished speech in the service together with them.

You answer questions about your life, your memories and the people who matter to you. From this, a personal draft speech is created. You can revise and approve it before the audio or video speech you have chosen is produced.

That is not a problem. Our guided process helps you with simple questions and personal prompts. You do not have to write a speech or prepare your thoughts in advance.

Before final approval you can read and adjust your draft. Changes after production have to be agreed separately.

You should be able to tell your story at your own pace. Whether and for how long a questionnaire you have started remains saved depends on the saving and resume functions available in the customer portal.

That depends on the model you choose. For a farewell speech from the perspective of the bereaved, completion within 48 to 72 hours is planned. For the other models, the processing times stated in each case apply.

A farewell message lasts up to three minutes, a personal farewell speech up to 15 minutes. That leaves plenty of room for memories, thoughts and personal words.

If you choose a message spoken by yourself, your voice is created from a recording made during your lifetime. Alternatively, you can choose one of the available speakers.

No. Lebensstimmen does not create new AI voices or avatars of people who have already died. Personal voices and avatars are only ever created with the consent of the person concerned during their lifetime.

Our AI applications are not meant to deceive anyone or to portray anyone without consent. Personal avatars are only created with the explicit consent of the living person. AI-generated content is clearly labelled.

Your personal memories, feelings, values and beliefs are at the centre. Content that demeans or threatens other people, deliberately deceives or infringes their rights is not permitted. Every speech is carefully reviewed before it is handed over.

Yes. Every finished audio or video speech is reviewed by our team before it is handed over. This is how we combine the possibilities of modern technology with human responsibility.

A smartphone, tablet or computer with internet access is all you need to create it.

Your finished audio or video file is ready to download in your personal customer portal. You can save it yourself and pass it on to a person you trust.

Yes. You can save the downloaded file on a USB stick and hand it to your funeral director or the venue. We recommend agreeing on the file format and playback beforehand.

Lebensstimmen provides the finished file only.

At a funeral service, a private memorial gathering or among family and friends. It can also be played later at home. The speech is not tied to any particular place.

Yes. You can share your downloaded audio or video message digitally with family and friends, for example via WhatsApp, in future also via social media or other suitable channels. Please respect the privacy of the people involved.

Our team will help you with questions about creation, recordings or downloads. For problems with the equipment on site, the funeral director or the venue is the first point of contact.

You can use Lebensstimmen directly via our website or get to know it through one of our participating partners, such as funeral homes or pre-planning and insurance providers. Which providers you choose for your farewell is entirely up to you.

Your details, recordings and personal memories are processed to create your message or speech. Lebensstimmen provides for encrypted storage in Europe and does not use your data to train AI models. You will find details in our privacy information.

Yes. You can download your finished audio or video file and keep it independently of the customer portal. We recommend saving an additional copy in a safe place.

In that case your relatives can contact our team. Together we will check whether and how the order you started can be completed, taking into account the consents you gave beforehand.
